Autodesk MyFeedback Portal Hacked

This morning something weird happened at the Autodesk MyFeedback Portal. When I visited the landing URL (http://myfeedback.autodesk.com/), I was greeted with a hacker-like message: "Your Access To Autodesk MyFeedback Portal Has Been Denied! If you do not agree send mail to myfeedback@autodesk.com".

I found it weird since it did not give me a chance to log in to determine who I was before denying me access. I poked around, tried other inner URLs I knew and finally managed to get inside the MyFeedback Portal. As it turns out my account was not blocked after all. It appears that someone managed to hack the Autodesk MyFeedback Portal.

  • Autodesk MyFeedback was definitely not hacked.
    It was only that your account had been locked as you are an ADN member with access to the beta products on the ADN website. Sorry for the alarm as we review accounts all the time.

  • Wow! In that case I suggest you have someone put up a better looking message. The language and style sure looks like the work of a hacker... a decent hacker.

    So if my account is blocked then how come I can access the inner pages, and do just about everything else.

    If you have questions or concerns regarding MyFeedback you should be emailing myfeedback@autodesk.com to best resolve and look into things. Blog posts and comments for a specific issue of a confidential account and system can be missed.

    It appears Autodesk's MyFeedback portal is used also used, by individuals within Autodesk, to convey messages to particular participants with whom they are not too happy with.

    The following message appeared in my login area of Autodesk's MyFeedback portal some time ago;

    “non constructuve and spread rumors that CIP was being used to track piracy.. He is also non constructive on the EULA.”

    The spelling errors are the authors and have been repeated in the interests of accurate reporting!

    So Deelip when I asked the MyFeedback crew what this was about and why it had appeared as it had, my questions were ignored. This bad behavior was repeated when I brought the incident to Bass's attention.

    However, after I mentioned the incident in my blog 'Caveat Emptor'. Shortly thereafter when going into Myfeedback the same message you saw appeared; lo and behold I had been barred from accessing Autodesk's MyFeedback portal and I still am.

    Whilst ignoring my questions and preventing my access, to the portal, Autodesk’s staff continue the INSULT me, sending me invitations to join the MyFeedback portal. These actions say volumes about the caliber of the individuals involved!

    Maybe Shaan woukd like to respond in this forum as to why the comments appeared in my ‘login area’, who posted them, why my questions have been ignored and why I should have been barred in the first place?

    Alternatively, he may just simply like to correct the access problem and provide an apology on Autodesk’s behalf ;-)

  • Paul, I agree. Autodesk badly needs to fix this particular employee's language and tone.

    Ralph, you are supposed to give them feedback. I don't think it works the other way around. ;-)
